Check back regularly for important Ukrainian American Citizens' Association announcements.
We experienced a relatively small fire on Wednesday, June 1. Thankfully the fire was extinguished quickly and nobody was injured as a result, but one room on the second floor did suffer damage.
We appreciate the ongoing support from the UACA family and community. To remain transparent and mitigate the false information distributed by concerned members of the community, we want to share that while an investigation remains ongoing, we are confident that the start of the fire was not a hate crime related to the Russian war in Ukraine. While we understand the Ukrainian American community’s heightened sensitivity since the start of the war, we hope to offer some solace in regard to this particular incident.
Being available for our members and community continues to be our priority. Therefore, we wish to express gratitude to the Philadelphia Fire Department, and the volunteers who are working quickly and diligently to ensure we can welcome all back through our doors this week.
