Together for Ukraine Update

We thank all of our members and friends who joined us in August for our United with Ukraine festival event. Thanks to your generosity, we collected $1,000 for Razom for Ukraine

Following russia’s attack on Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Razom quickly mobilized an emergency response to save lives. This means delivering humanitarian aid in the form of tactical medicine, hospital supplies, and communication equipment, as well as evacuating children with disabilities and their families, and advocacy

A Note from the UACA Board of Directors

We experienced a relatively small fire on Wednesday, June 1. Thankfully the fire was extinguished quickly and nobody was injured as a result, but one room on the second floor did suffer damage.

We appreciate the ongoing support from the UACA family and community. To remain transparent and mitigate the false information distributed by concerned members of the community, we want to share that while an investigation remains ongoing, we are confident that the start of the fire was not a hate crime related to the Russian war in Ukraine. While we understand the Ukrainian American community’s heightened sensitivity since the start of the war, we hope to offer some solace in regard to this particular incident.

Being available for our members and community continues to be our priority. Therefore, we wish to express gratitude to the Philadelphia Fire Department, and the volunteers who are working quickly and diligently to ensure we can welcome all back through our doors this week.

A Loss in the Ukie Club Family

With heavy hearts we share that we lost a member of the Ukie Club's family, bar manager and long-time member and friend Bill Nelson. Obituary and services information for Bill.

Please consider helping Bills' family with a donation towards his final expenses.
