THE UKRIANIAN AMERICAN CITIZENS’
ASSOCIATION HOSTS “A PIG ROAST”
TO INTRODUCE THE NEWLY REMODELED BAR
Philadelphia,
PA (March 19, 2012) - On
Saturday, March 17th from 2PM-2AM the Ukrainian American Citizens’
Association, located in Northern Liberties West
between 7th & 8th and Poplar Streets, celebrated St. Patrick’s Day
and the grand opening of the newly remodeled upstairs bar with a pig roast.
With
approximately 80 in attendance, members and their guests enjoyed pulled pork
sandwiches with delicious donated sides, beautiful warm weather, festive music,
and refreshing beverages inside the upstairs bar and outside on the club’s
soccer field.
The remodeling
of the bar took close to a year of generously donated work by club members
Adrian Prociuk, Dmytro Luciw, Craig and Bill Malinowski, Bill Nelson, Victor
Turner, Mike Jasiniski with additional help. The renovations include: refurbishing
the original 23 foot bar, new hardwood floors, freshly painted walls, the
preservation of the molding on the ceiling, two brand new bathrooms, new doors
and windows.
The new bar is
for UACA members only however, obtaining membership is easy. Visit the
club and fill out an application or e-mail your address to ukieclub@aol.com and
an application will be sent (via snail mail). A membership card will be mailed once you are approved and
added to the growing membership list.

Social
Membership: $10.00
An
Active membership entitles you to vote at the Annual Meeting and to run for one
of eight Board of Directors position (after two years).

The UACA

first organization of Ukrainian American citizens in Philadelphia who love
their Ukrainian heritage and enjoy sharing the traditional Ukrainian
